I recently returned from Gweru, Zimbabwe, where we experienced six tremendous days and nights of ministry. Over the course of the conference, we participated in 18 services, and the Lord moved in a tremendous way.
There was a genuine hunger for God, a powerful response in the services, and a clear sense that an even greater opportunity is before us.
While I was there, Frederick Shumba, our World Missions Representative in Zimbabwe, and I sat down together and began planning what we believe could become a major evangelistic crusade in Gweru in September 2027.

More Than a Missions Trip
We are hoping to bring a team of approximately 5–10 pastors and ministers who are willing to preach, minister, encourage local leaders and churches, and help reach the city of Gweru with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Each participating minister will have the opportunity to preach at least once. We also anticipate daytime ministry sessions where team members can teach, encourage leaders, minister in churches, and invest personally in the people of Zimbabwe.
Pastors and Ministers Are Welcome
You do not have to be the senior pastor of a church to participate. Ministers who are actively involved in the life and ministry of their church are welcome to prayerfully consider joining us as well.
Pastors
A pastor may participate and invite his church to help support the trip and crusade.
Other Ministers
A minister serving in a local church may also participate, with the blessing and involvement of church leadership.
More Than One From a Church
A pastor and another minister from the same church may both participate if they feel led to do so.
Opportunities to Minister
Participants will have opportunities to preach, teach, encourage leaders, and minister during the week.
Helping Make the Crusade Possible
There are still many details to finalize, and we are not asking for a firm commitment yet. At this stage, we simply want to know who would prayerfully consider being part of the team.
Those who participate will be asked to help raise financial support for their trip and for the crusade. That support may come through their church, friends and ministry partners, personal fundraising efforts, or a combination of these.
The funds each participant raises will help cover his primary travel expenses and also help underwrite the overall cost of the crusade.
Victoria Falls
Following the crusade, we are planning an optional trip to Victoria Falls from September 20–22 for those who would like to participate.
This portion of the trip will be a personal expense and will not be included in the funds raised for the crusade and primary travel.
